System Requirements for Counter-Strike 2 - Minimum and Recommended

On March 22nd, Valve announced Counter-Strike 2, a global update to the legendary shooter game, with a transition to the Source 2 engine. The developers also released the first gameplay videos, which can be viewed in the article.

CS2 System Requirements

At the moment, Valve has not yet released the system requirements for CS2. We will update the information as soon as it becomes available. As of the publication of this article, the beta version of Counter-Strike 2 is available to some players selected by the developers on computers running the Windows operating system. Other users will have to wait to be granted access to the closed test or the official release of the update.

Minimum System Requirements for CS2

Currently, only the minimum system requirements for CS:GO are known:

  • GPU: Any video card with 256 MB of VRAM or higher 
  • RAM: 2 GB of memory 
  • HDD: 15 GB of free space 
  • OS: Windows XP or higher operating system 
  • DirectX: 9.0c or higher 
  • Shader Model: 3.0 or higher 

Recommended System Requirements for CS2

Currently, only the recommended system requirements for CS:GO are known:

  • Processor: Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5
  • Memory: 8 GB DDR4 
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 
  • Storage: 15 GB on SSD

The official release of the global update for Counter-Strike 2 is scheduled for the summer of 2023. The developers promise to improve the graphics, sound, maps, and other aspects of the game. The full list of features for CS2 is available at the link.
