Complexity general manager Graham Pitt said a decision has been made regarding AWP's role on the team, but declined to say whether Hakon “hallzerk” Fjaerli will sign a new contract. “A decision has already been made on the hallzerk contract situation, and it's not contingent on performance at IEM Dallas,” he said during the AMA.
Hopefully very soon we will have news about the future of the AWP position on the team. We're very happy with what we want to build and what we want to do
The future of Complexity player Hallzerk has been hotly debated after he admitted that he is fighting for his place on the team. With his contract expiring “very soon”, the Norwegian AWPer was determined to prove himself in ESL Pro League 19.
Playing in ESL Pro League hallzerk scored a 6.4 rating in Malta, placing in the top 30 players of the event when Complexity reached the semi-finals and lost to the champions, MOUZ.
hallzerk has been playing for Complexity since July 2022 when he replaced Paytyn “junior” Johnson in the starting lineup. He has an average team rating of 6.2, and has not been able to replicate the amazing form he showed in the early months of Counter-Strike 2.
Complexity will face Liquid on May 27th in the first round of IEM Dallas 2024, with the winner getting a match against MOUZ or 9z.
