Cloud9 Roster Update: Key Members Exit

Cloud9's Counter-Strike team is undergoing major changes: Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy, Abay "Hobbit" Khasenov, and assistant coach Ivan "F_1N" Kochugov are leaving the team. The esports community is actively discussing the impact of these resignations on the team's future.

Hobbit, who joined Cloud9 on April 24, 2022, played a crucial role in the team's victory at IEM Dallas 2022, earning an impressive 6.0 rating. His departure marks the end of an important chapter for the team.

Perfecto joined the squad in the summer of 2023, along with electronic, transferring from Natus Vincere. Despite their best efforts, they did not achieve the desired results, and in December 2023, sniper Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov left the team. Later, Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov, and since then the team has been playing without a full-time sniper.

As part of sh1ro, Cloud9 managed to win the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2023 Europe, which took place from October 4 to 8. The team received a $20,000 prize and a place in the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023. However, there were no other significant achievements.

The last tournament in this lineup took place at IEM Chengdu 2024, where they took 9-12 places, losing to Flyquest and Faze Clan. This result called into question the team's current form and strategy.

Currently, Cloud9 consists of Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov, Sergey "Ax1Le" Rikhtorov, and coach Konstantin "groove" Pikiner remain with Cloud9. Despite these departures, Cloud9's CEO confirmed that he has no plans to disband the team. This statement reassured fans, but also increased interest in how the team will adapt in the future.
