The North American esports organization Cloud9 will officially join the ranks of BLAST Premier teams in the 2024 season. This became possible through the acquisition of a slot that was previously owned by Evil Geniuses.
Cloud9, founded in 2013 and based in Los Angeles, is one of the most well-known esports organizations in the world. After its return to the scene in 2022, the new Cloud9 lineup has shown good results.
BLAST Premier's program director Andrew Haworth expressed satisfaction with the addition of Cloud9 to the league: "Cloud9 has an illustrious history in Counter-Strike and will bring a lot to the tournaments." He is also grateful to Evil Geniuses for their participation and support over the past three years.
Jack Etienne, co-founder and CEO of Cloud9, shared his enthusiasm: "We look forward to showcasing the skill and determination of our talented players."
