CEO of Evil Geniuses Regarding Using Big Data: "We will Understand How to Build a Job in Counter-Strike With This"

The head of Evil Geniuses talked about how the team works with data.

Not so long ago, Evil Geniuses signed two more CS: GO rosters and launched the Blueprint project. The organization declared that it would not leave the discipline for a long time by this action. The Washington Post published an interview with the club's CEO today, where she spoke about the main rules of players' selection.

Nicole Lapointe Jameson said that the organization was not interested in the short term at the interview's beginning. Instead, the CEO stated that the goal is to build the club's work properly.

I can buy the best CS team tomorrow. It only depends on money. But that doesn't mean I know how to build a good Counter-Strike roster.

Evil Geniuses uses big data to do this. Nicole talks about how they use data to sign players and build squads.

We have as many analysts and engineers as coaches and scouts who know to quantify to find the metrics that make a good player.

Nicole Jameson said that this approach is used in all disciplines in the organization, and they plan to expand the use of data in the future. For example, big data will be used not only to build and organize units but also to improve results by working with in-game data.
