Tournament operator BLAST has attracted four new clubs to its partner program. It managed to do this despite the fact that the organization, along with ESL, will abandon such a format in favor of an open system by 2025 at the request of Valve.
According to HLTV, the four new teams will be determined through auctions, with a minimum of $350 thousand required to secure a place in the program. It is worth noting that the new partner clubs will not have all the advantages of the other 12 organizations – they will not have rights to revenue from the BLAST Premier revenue distribution system.
The updated format can be seen in action at the BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2024 from January 22 to 28. Recall that Cloud9 recently replaced Evil Geniuses in the BLAST partner clubs lineup, buying out their slot.
