Today it became known how much the participants of the last CS:GO major, BLAST Paris Major 2023, were able to earn from stickers. According to experts, this major broke all records in terms of profits brought to organizations.
It should be noted that the major's capsules were in the game for 153 days, breaking all previous records from Valve. In total, participants of BLAST Paris Major 2023 earned over $110 million from stickers.
Journalists, in collaboration with colleagues from Dust2 Brazil, conducted a survey among representatives of various teams to estimate the approximate revenue volume. They also considered information from the official Valve announcement, which mentioned payments of $70 million for stickers sold during PGL Major Stockholm and PGL Major Antwerp. Based on the collected information, the following figures were derived.
Approximate revenue distribution for stickers from BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023:
- Teams and players in Contenders capsules received approximately $4.5 million per club and $250 thousand per player.
- Teams and players from the Legends capsule earned $3.5 million per club and $200 thousand per player.
- Teams and players from the Challengers capsule earned $2.6 million per club and $200 thousand per player.
The BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, held from May 8 to 21 in Paris, gathered participants from all over the world for a LAN tournament. The total prize pool was $1.25 million. Team Vitality won the final against GamerLegion, claiming the championship title. This championship went down in history as the last major in CS:GO, generating increased interest in purchasing stickers.
