The organizers of BLAST Open Spring 2025 have presented the division of teams into groups and the schedule of the first matches of the tournament. The information is available on the official website of the tournament operator.
BLAST Open Spring 2025 will start on March 19. The tournament will feature 16 teams that will first play the group stage at BLAST Studios (Copenhagen), and then the best six teams will go to MEO Arena (Lisbon), where the playoffs will take place. The prize fund of the competition is $400,000.
The competition will be held in the format of double-elimination GSL groups, where eight teams in each group will play for three places in the playoffs. The group winners will go straight to the semifinals, while the runners-up will get a slot in the quarterfinals (high seed) and the third place will get a slot in the quarterfinals (low seed). All group stage matches will be BO3, while the playoffs will be held in a single-elimination format with BO3 quarterfinal and semifinal matches. The grand final will be BO5.
