The first round of the European qualifier for BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 is over. All matches were held in the Bo1 format and gave fans unexpected results. In particular, outsiders Nemiga and OG defeated the favorites in their matches, and BC.Game destroyed fnatic with a score of 13-2. BetBoom and ENCE also looked the most confident, winning with a significant advantage in the rounds. Only OG and HEROIC won important victories in tense matches.

Tournament format and chances for the major

BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025: Europe RMR takes place online from April 14 to 17 in the Swiss system format. 16 teams take part in the tournament. All matches, except for the decisive ones (for passage or elimination), are played in Bo1 format. The matches for advancement to the next stage or elimination are played in the Bo3 format. The seeding system from the third round is based on the Buchholz principle.

The top five teams will receive direct slots in the first stage of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. Three more teams will go to the Play-In stage, where they will compete for the last chance to get to the tournament. The remaining eight teams will finish their way to the RMR after the group stage.
