Cloud9 player Sergey Ax1Le Rykhtorov told how the replacement process went in his team. The esportsman also spoke about the internal problems of the team.
Ax1Le shared information about how the team overcomes various difficulties and talked about its image in the community.
All teams have problems, there are no perfect teams where 7 people live without any misunderstandings. We are no exception, but despite this, we move forward. This is a process that cannot be avoided.
Misunderstandings mainly occur due to the game and no more, everything is resolved when everyone comes to one opinion.
We act like a family because compared to others, we haven't made any replacements for a very long time. We didn't run away from problems, tried to solve them - it's much harder than just changing a player, as other teams do almost every half year.
Rykhtorov noted that he expected the restructuring of the team immediately after the failure at the IEM Rio Major 2022.
The coach and management primarily make the decision to replace a player. We participated in the player selection process during the tryout. <...>
After the loss at the major, there was a little bit of depression: I realized that someone would probably be replaced. Timofey is a very nice person, I still keep in touch with him, we have a lot of local memes. It was sad to say goodbye to him.
The updated Cloud9 roster will make its debut on February 1st at 13:00 MSK in the Play-In stage of IEM Katowice 2023. The Ax1Le's team will play against IHC Esports. You can find something for yourself with pre-match analysis here. You can follow the championship progress through the link.
