ATOX knocks TYLOO out of Asian RMR
The Mongolian team dominates on Nuke and Anubis, knocking the Chinese giants out of contention for the major.
In an unexpected turn of events, Mongolian team ATOX knocked out Chinese grand TYLOO from the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 Asia RMR. The underdogs took a comfortable 2-0 win in the lower bracket after TYLOO lost their opening match against Lynn Vision.
ATOX showed exceptional form throughout the series, crushing TYLOO on their own maps. Andrey kaze Hong led the team on Nuke, the ATOX map, securing a key 13-3. The Mongols continued their dominance on Inferno, the TYLOO map, closing with a score of 13-4.
20-year-old Munkhsaikhan Zesta Erdenebaatar became the star of ATOX with a dominant performance on Anubis, the deciding map. Zesta finished the map with a 2.05 rating, a 20-5 score and a stunning ADR of 115, leading his team to victory.
This defeat marks another setback for TYLOO, who are unable to regain their former glory. Despite acquiring Rare Atom players, the team failed to qualify for the major with Stockholm Major 2021.
