The Austin Major 2025 playoffs have just begun, and there are even more exciting events ahead for spectators. Yesterday, on the first day of play, there were two incredibly tense matches, and below we will show you how visitors reacted to the results of the clashes and what the atmosphere was like at the Moody Center arena.

Results of the first day

As a reminder, two matches took place on the first day of play, both of which were intense battles and ended quite unexpectedly.

Team Spirit vs MOUZ

The first match was between MOUZ and their stronger opponents, Team Spirit, and it ended in defeat for the favorites. On the first map, Mirage, the teams fought hard and went into overtime, where Spirit won with a score of 25:21. But despite this, MOUZ did not give up, and the next two maps, Dust 2 13:9 and Nuke 13:10, brought them victory and a place in the next round.

FURIA vs paIN

The second match was a Brazilian derby between FURIA and paIN, which was not as intense. FURIA easily took Nuke 13:6, while paIN won Anubis 13:8. The outcome of the match was decided on Inferno, and although the teams went into overtime, paIN ultimately emerged victorious with a score of 16:12.

The atmosphere at Moody Center

The arena where the matches took place was filled with fans who came to cheer on their favorite teams. During the presentation of the teams, the Ukrainian team Natus Vincere received the most enthusiastic reaction, with the entire hall cheering them on. Team Vitality, on the other hand, received a negative reaction, with the audience greeting the players with boos as they entered the hall.

Although Team Spirit did not have much support from the audience, the spectators reacted very well to their individual play. In round 19, when donk killed his opponent incredibly quickly, showing his lightning-fast reaction, the audience shouted loudly, showing their surprise.

In turn, when MOUZ won the last round on Nuke, which marked their victory, the audience erupted with cheers and applause. Most of the audience did not expect a victory over stronger opponents, so the reaction was appropriate.

But the audience reacted best during the Brazilian derby between FURIA and paIN, which once again confirmed the temperament and support of Brazilian spectators. Before the start of the match, fans from Brazil brought a drum to the stands and tapped out their melody while waving T-shirts and scarves in support of FURAI.

An equally interesting moment occurred with Snow, who ran out of ammunition and switched to a pistol, which enabled him to defeat his last opponent. After that, he began to urge the audience to react more enthusiastically, and the hall responded with loud cheers.
