Astralis transferred the player from the academy to the main team: he will be the sixth player of the roster

Esports organization Astralis announced the transfer to the CS:GO main team of the player from the Academy Olexander Altekz Givskov. The announcement was made on the organization's official website.

The six players' roster

The organization’s representatives stated that Altekz would train with the main roster and travel with the team to tournaments as the sixth player. The Danish athlete joined Astralis Talent in March 2021. During this period, as part of the academy, he became the champion of CCT North Europe Series 4 and several local competitions. Also, he won bronze at the WePlay Academy League Season 3.

Who can Altekz replace in the future?

In Astralis Talent, Givskov plays the role of captain, and perhaps, the organization's management wants to grow a worthy receiver for Lukas gla1ve Rossander, whose contract expires in a year.

Another candidate for replacement is Andreas Xyp9x Hoyslet. The athlete has repeatedly been criticized and does not reach the level of tier-1 scene. His contract with Astralis is valid for two more years, but will it stop managers if the team continues to show unsatisfactory results?

Astralis previously finished 12th-14th at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: European RMR B and will miss the last major in CS:GO history. During the championship, the Danish team won only one match.
