Astralis’s coach Pieter Castle Ardenskjöld assessed the team's performance at the Brazy Party group stage. The Danish coach shared his opinion in a comment for the club's press service.
Casle is delighted with the team's progress since Alexander Altekz Givskov joined the roster. He also noted that Astralis has a lot of work to do on the way to the top of the professional scene.
The goal was to get to the playoffs, and now we've done it, so, of course, we're very happy. Much of what we've been working on has worked, and we've done well on several maps.
Altekz immediately got into this team and showed what, as we already know, he is capable of and what we expected. We still have a lot of work to do, but the game against ENCE was excellent for everyone on this team. No one failed, and that's precisely what we want from this team: everyone takes responsibility and dares to be decisive.
We were hurt after we failed to qualify for the Major. But this irritation cannot be helpful, especially since we have to hold three important tournaments in the summer. The first stage is already going according to plan, and we can use it to move forward. I am very proud of the guys.
A breath of fresh air
Immediately after joining Altekz in the Astralis lineup, the team cheered as if it had received fresh air. The team began to look more confident on the server, and Givskov himself demonstrated a stable and high level of CS. A huge plus is that he does not have to get acquainted with the structure of the Astralis game from scratch because he passed the organization's academy and is already familiar with many aspects.
A huge plus for his potential development is the belief of the team's mentor, with whom he already worked at Astralis Talent. Only time will tell how justified this trust is.
Brazy Party takes place online from April 26 to May 3. Teams are raffling off a prize fund of $333,000. You can follow the schedule and results of the tournament here.
