Today it became known that the legendary map named Assault has already been ported to Counter-Strike 2. The author promises to add it to the workshop very soon.
The Assault map was added to the game back in the last century, specifically in 1999 in the Counter-Strike Beta 1.1 version. And all this time, it has traveled from version to version but remained only an entertaining map for the community.
It should be noted that when the esports part of Counter-Strike was still focused on the hostage rescue mode - this map was popular. However, after adding the bomb-planting mode, this map started to be played just for fun or nostalgia for the old times.
This is what the map looked like in Counter-Strike Beta 1.1:

But now, the truth is the map has almost a completely different look. And as the main developer of this map states, we will soon be able to play it in Counter-Strike 2 by downloading it from the community workshop.
Also, New Am has already shown gameplay on the new map:

Old-timers rejoice, but new players won't understand why players who spent their childhood in computer clubs love this map so much.
