There is less than half a year left until the start of Budapest Major 2025, but general information about the tournament and teams is already becoming known. After the current results at Austin Major 2025, it became known that Asia will receive an additional slot for the event in Budapest, while America will lose it.

Distribution of slots for Budapest Major 2025

A total of 32 teams from three regions will participate in the upcoming tournament, receiving invitations to Stage 1/2/3 based on their results. This means that each region will receive an additional slot for the Budapest Major 2025 because a team from that region advanced to the third stage of the current Austin Major 2025.

Yesterday, the second stage of the Austin Major ended with three matches played in the final round, two of which proved decisive. In the first match, Lynn Vision Gaming defeated B8, allowing the Chinese team to advance to Stage 3 and Asia to receive an additional slot for Budapest Major 2025. In the second match, FaZe Clan defeated MIBR, which meant that the Brazilian team did not advance to Stage 3, and America lost 1 additional slot for the Budapest Major 2025.

Now, the list of slots for the Budapest Major 2025 by region looks as follows:

• Europe – 16 slots (no change)

• America – 10 slots (-1)

• Asia – 6 slots (+1)
