The organization GODSENT has officially announced the addition of Swedish footballer and captain of the football club "Malmö," Pontus "Ponne" Jansson, as a new co-owner of the organization.
Pontus, known as one of Sweden's most prominent footballers, is joining GODSENT as part of the current investment round. Jansson plans to bring his experience as a professional athlete and captain to the development of the organization.
His addition to GODSENT is considered a significant step for Swedish Counter-Strike, which is experiencing a revival in the local market. Based in southern Sweden, GODSENT aims to return Swedish Counter-Strike to the top of world rankings.
This is not the first footballer to enter Counter-Strike in recent years. Various organizations have their own, including Alexander Zinchenko (Passion UA), Casemiro (Case), David Beckham (Guild Eagles). Additionally, the owner of the esports organization KRÜ, Sergio Agüero, recently announced plans to enter Counter-Strike 2. By the way, Lionel Messi recently became a co-owner of KRÜ.
