Anders Blume is out of caster jobs — he has commentated 18 Majors

Anders Bloom, who has commentated on 18 CS majors, has faced serious career challenges. According to him, tournament organizers are not considering his candidacy for casting competitions in 2025. He shared this information on Reddit.

Industry Changes

Anders Bloom shared his concerns in a detailed message. He said that after discussing job opportunities for 2025 with industry representatives, he received a "cold" reception. When he offered his services for casting tournaments, he was met with standard responses: "Sorry, everything is booked, try again next time."

Anders mentioned that he experienced significant stress due to the situation. He decided to focus on self-improvement and search for new opportunities.

Basically what happened to me isn't actually that clear to me at the moment if I am being honest. Around November last year when I was talking to a lot of diffferent people in the industry about 2025 and planning things, I just generally got this very cold vibe and fairly soon afterwards all events I tried to offer my casting like I have been doing for the past 12 years, just kind of said "sorry already booked, we'll try next time".

I won't lie this has been one of the most stressful times in my life, but it has also brought with it some interesting things. I spent some time feeling sad, but after that I started to try and look at my own life and kind of who I had become in this space and I realized that I could probably do a lot of self improvement.

Future Plans

Сommentator admitted that he had recently stopped diving into the details and was only following tournaments on a surface level, knowing only the top 10 teams and some of their results. After realizing this, he decided to take a deeper dive into CS and started analyzing games more seriously.

Bloom plans to actively work on himself and reconnect with his audience through streaming, something he previously struggled to do due to his work on Skybox, other projects, and the birth of his two children.

I've spent so much more time this year watching and analyzing CS games than I have in the previous 4 years around this time, and that just sucks. I never wanted to become a commentator who just knows the top 10 teams and some results from big tournaments. I used to be a lot more IN the game, and I think it took this moment to kind of remind me.
The streaming is fun, the content is fun and I find myself wanting to dive a lot deeper into the game as a result, so its not all bad.

My whole life for the last 12 years has been casting Counter-Strike, its what I love. Its what I will always love and my dream is still to keep doing that.

Anders Is Ready for a New Stage

Anders Bloom is one of the most iconic voices of the CS scene, and his absence from the upcoming tournaments could significantly alter the broadcast atmosphere. His style, charisma, and emotional expressiveness have made hundreds of matches unforgettable for viewers. Anders assured that he does not intend to leave the CS scene and plans to continue developing within this sphere. Perhaps his determination and love for the game will help him reclaim his place at the microphone on top tournaments.

Anders has actively engaged in community casting and even commentated the IEM Katowice 2025 final alongside Wilton "Zews" Prado. He is also streaming tournaments from the CCT series.
