Team AMKAL advanced to IEM Chengdu 2024: European Qualifier after winning the IEM Chengdu 2024: European Open Qualifier #1. Having the easiest bracket without any renowned opponents in the open qualifier, AMKAL defeated team Insilio with a score of 2:0 in the final.
This success secured AMKAL a spot among the six out of eight teams at the European Qualifier, where they will compete against Guild Eagles, BetBoom, BIG, Eternal Fire, and Falcons. The Kosovars won the other part of the bracket in the first open qualifier, while four other teams received invitations based on the ESL ranking.
In this stage, teams will compete for the only slot at the prestigious IEM Chengdu 2024, where the winner will have the chance to fight for a share of the $250,000 prize pool at the main tournament in China. The best team from the April tournament will also receive a slot at IEM Cologne 2024.
Additionally, AMKAL is competing at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: European Qualifier B, where their first opponent will be team sYnck. Although 11 out of 15 participants can advance to the next stage, AMKAL's chances appear rather slim.
