For PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 in CS2, the American region will be represented by five teams. Valve has secured five slots for the region based on the results of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 for CS:GO. This information was confirmed by the developers in a comment to Dust2.us.

Valve noted that even if Team Liquid were to completely change regions, North and South America would still retain five slots for the first major in CS2 history. Earlier, there were reports online that the American region could lose its only slot in the Legends stage at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024. This was linked to Liquid's move to Europe. However, now that the club is once again assembling a roster based on esports players from the American region, there are no problems, not even theoretically.
