The famous English-speaking journalist, Striker, shared his opinion about this tournament:
Perhaps Perfect World knows exactly when the CS2 release will happen. Right now, our focus is on the game being released in the summer. Maybe it won't happen. But it's clear that the CS:GO Asia Championships 2023 will be a sort of testing ground for the second major of 2024, which, as we know, will take place in Shanghai. I would guess that by early November, we will definitely have CS2. At the very least, the CS:GO Asia Championships 2023 will be one of the first events for CS2. Maybe we'll see the release before Sydney, as there's not much time left before it. It's also evident to me that the next ESL Pro League will definitely be in CS:GO.
Perhaps this really will be the first CS2 tournament, and Europeans will have to stay up all night to watch!
CS:GO Asia Championships 2023 will take place from November 8 to November 12, 2023. The prize pool is $500,000! Remember, ENCE, FaZe Clan, G2 Esports, MOUZ, Team Liquid have already received their invites, and there's still one spot left for an invited team.
