The PGL CEO has confirmed that all participants and organizers of the CS2 PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 have received their prize money.
PGL CEO stated:
All teams, talents, and vendors involved in running the PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major 2024 have received 100% of their payment, except for two teams who have yet to provide their invoices. This has been our standard practice for years, but we have not communicated it.
Despite the industry's history of delays in prize payments, PGL's principled commitment to prompt compensation for performance sets a positive precedent. This transparent approach builds trust in the esports ecosystem, ensuring future events run more smoothly.
In an industry where financial transparency is often questioned, PGL's proactive stance sets a commendable example for others to follow.
This provision of timely payment alleviates concerns among players, talent and organizers, promoting a more stable and sustainable environment for competitive gaming.
PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 took place from March 17 to March 31, 2024 in Denmark, Copenhagen. The total prize fund was $1,250,000. The Natus Vincere team became the winner of the tournament. You can see more detailed information about the tournament here.
