Last night, it became known that all players of the South African organization ATK have left the main lineup and parted ways with the organization.
The decision to terminate the collaboration stemmed from a deep-rooted reluctance to renew the contract with the current organization. In light of this, the team members were pleasantly surprised to receive several enticing offers from other progressive organizations that showed a keen interest in their skills and potential.
Notably, there has been a double change in the ex-ATK lineup, as apart from WolfY's departure from the organization, the team is also looking to find a sniper with a more suitable play style. However, the other players, now ex-ATK, have not yet expressed their intentions for the future.
The ATK team lineup looked as follows:
ATK Team Achievements:
ATK is a team that dominates the North American scene and consistently achieves top placements in various regional tournaments. For example, tournaments such as:
- ESEA Cash Cup Circuit 2023: North American Cup #4 (1st place)
- ESEA Cash Cup Circuit 2023: North American Cup #3 (1st place)
- ESEA Cash Cup Circuit 2023: North American Finals (2nd place)
- ESEA Cash Cup Circuit 2023: North American Cup #8 (2nd place)
- ESL Challenger League Season 45: North America (3rd place)
- And many others.
However, as soon as the team competes in an international-class tournament, where they have to play against the best players from Europe, they struggle. For example, in the recent ESL Pro League Season 17, the team finished last after losing to ENCE and then Astralis, resulting in their elimination from the tournament.
Throughout its history, the ATK organization has earned $261,628. So far, the team has not announced the search for new players nor disclosed details about the players' departures.
