alex about moving to Ninjas in Pajamas: "It was a tough decision to make"

Ninjas in Pyjamas captain Alejandro 'alex' Masanet commented on his joining the team. The Spanish esports athlete shared his opinion on the transfer in an interview with the HLTV portal.

Masanet said that making the decision to leave the club, which he had represented for almost six years, was not easy. The organization's best times came with alex as captain.

It was a tough decision to make. To leave the team I was in for so long, leaving behind everything we lived together, the memories we made and the history we created, that was the hardest part of it. I was in Riders for almost six years, so leaving that behind is not easy.

The Spanish professional player stated that he had previously considered moving to another club. However, it was the offer from NiP that he could not refuse.

It made me think whether I really wanted to stay in Movistar or explore and see what I would be capable of doing outside of my comfort zone. Then NIP came along and when a team as big as that comes for you, if you're ready, you can't say no to the opportunity.
It's hard to describe, but the second they asked about me, I already felt special. I didn't know what would happen; if they had some interest or actually really wanted to sign me. But that a team like NIP shows interest and ends up signing me, that's a dream. I don't really have the words to describe this feeling, it's really beautiful.

On November 3, it became known that alex had made the transition from Movistar Riders to NiP. It was later announced that the new captain would miss the CS2 Asia Championships 2023. Instead, the club's academy player Max 'maxster' Jansson will participate in the tournament. Alex's debut in the NiP roster is scheduled for the closed qualification for BetBoom Dacha, which will take place online from November 11 to 21.

Masanet has been performing on the professional Counter-Strike scene since 2013. During this period, besides Movistar Riders, he has represented x6tenceEpsilonGiants, and other teams. Throughout his career, he has earned over $125,000 in prize money.
