The captain of Natus Vincere, Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen, named the reason why the current results of Cloud9 in CS2 are not as good as many expect. The leader of the "yellow-blacks" believes that the issue lies in the absence of a stable sniper.

The Finnish esports player also suggested that the team might have been testing new tactics at BLAST, and that we will see a better version of Cloud9 at IEM Katowice.

I think Cloud9 really lacks a stable sniper. Now they are changing this role depending on the map or maybe by feeling, I'm not sure. Perhaps they can make this system work. They played quite well until the BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2024. But specifically at BLAST, they did not play their best. This wasn't the end of the world. Who knows, maybe they were testing something new before IEM Katowice and will be much better there. But it seems to me that the first championships will show whether they will move in this direction, or they will make changes and sign a full-time sniper.

Recall that Cloud9 did not manage to advance to the Spring Final, due to which they will have to play at the BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2024. Nevertheless, the next tournament for the team will be IEM Katowice 2024, which starts on January 31.
