"Aleksib is experienced, but not a superstar" - ceh9 explained why Aleksib was chosen for the captain's role in Natus Vincere.

Today, well-known Ukrainian commentator Arseniy "ceh9" Trynozhenko on his live stream on Twitch explained why the coach of Natus Vincere, Andrii "B1ad3" Gorodenskyi, chose Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen as the captain.

ceh9:

Aleksib hasn't shown results as a captain for a long time. But he is experienced, plays decently, his rating is still 0.95. He's not a superstar, but a good support player who makes frags. That's why B1ad3 bet on him.

Remember that earlier it became known that the NAVI team is making a series of changes in its CS:GO roster. The team lost three players in Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy, and Andriy "npl" Kukharskyi.

By the way, according to insiders, electroNic and Perfecto moved to Cloud9, and the cost of their buyout was $2,000,000.

The team has switched to speaking English during games and in place of the former players came: Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen, Justinas “jL” Lekavicius, and Ivan “iM” Mihay.

Now the lineup of "born to win" will look like this:

  • Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev
  • Valerii “b1t” Vakhovskyi
  • Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen (captain)
  • Justinas “jL” Lekavicius
  • Ivan “iM” Mihay
  • Andrii “B1ad3” Gorodetskyi (coach)

The next tournament for NAVI will be BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2023, which will take place after the summer break on the competitive scene. The championship will take place from July 13 to July 27 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The teams will fight for a prize pool of $177.5 thousand and six quotas for BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023.
