Former Copenhagen Flames and Heroic player and captain Asger "AcilioN" Larsen has decided to become a coach. He announced this on Twitter.
Asger stated that he has no contractual obligations right now, so he will be able to start coaching as soon as possible. He is also ready to work with a team from any region.
Over my almost 10 year professional career I have learned so much not only about the game, but most importantly it has taught me so many valuable life lessons. From building teams from scratch acting as the in-game leader, analyst and coach at the same time, to being in tier 1 teams with massive coaching staff. I have really seen what works and what doesn’t.
I’m looking for my first coaching job, but I believe that being around coaches and coaching staff for so many years I have picked up a few things that I believe are really important to teams. I also acknowledge that I need some training so therefore I’m gonna start a coaching education here in Denmark later this year.
AcilioN's last team was Sashi Esports, from where he left in early September this year. The 26-year-old Dane won more than $216k in prize money during his nine-year career as a cybersports player. In addition to Copenhagen Flames and Heroic, he also played for SK, Dignitas, Splyce and MAD Lions.
