A player of the Ukrainian cybersport team kONO.ECF, known under the nickname Zahar "Polbandana" Siledchik, was offered 322 matches. According to his account in his personal Telegram channel, he was offered 10,000 dollars for participating in a fixed match.
In messages sent to Polbandana, an unknown person offered him to meet in Lviv to discuss all the details. After the player refused, the amount of the offer was increased to 30,000 dollars. However, Polbandana responded to this too with a categorical refusal.
The unidentified man continued to negotiate, asking how much it would cost per game or per round, to which Polbandana replied that the only thing he was interested in was "punching the face of people like him." The dialog was then concluded.
Polbandana shared screenshots of this correspondence on his Telegram channel, sparking a wave of support from the community. This incident once again emphasizes the problem of match-fixing in cybersports and the importance of fighting corruption in this sphere.
