The South American team 9z won the final of the last-chance Group C grid at ESL Pro League Season 18 against 5yclone and advanced to the tournament playoffs. At first, the team narrowly lost their own Overpass spike, 6:16. Next, they beat Inferno with a score of 16:8, which they lost in the first match against FaZe with a score of 3:16. Nuke is one of the best 9z decks, so it's no surprise that 5yclone didn't stand a chance, 16:6.
David "dav1deuS" Tapia Maldonado stood out individually, receiving a score of 6.9. The Chilean made as many as 16 multi-kills, dealt an average of 93 damage and won 12 of the first 20 duels. Another important performance was from Santino "try" Rigal, who received a lower score of 6.8, but made 14 multikills and won three clutches.
As a result, NAVI, FaZe, fnatic, and 9z advanced from Group C to the ESL Pro League Season 18 playoffs. Thus, 12 out of 16 playoff participants are already known. The last four will be determined in Group D, where G2, Cloud9, Eternal Fire, Complexity, 9INE, Liquid, Virtus.pro, and Lynn Vision will compete for places in the next stage.
