9INE will participate in the home Hussar Cup with a prize pool of $1 million

The Polish club 9INE became the first CS:GO team to receive an invitation to the September Hussar Cup. It is known that five more teams will receive direct invites, while the remaining two will participate in the European qualifier.

The championship with a prize pool of $1,000,000 will take place in the city of Hozhuv near Katowice from August 30 to September 3 at the Slaski Stadium with a capacity of over 55,000 spectators. In total, about 23,000 tickets will be sold for the arena, which will also host the playoff stage.

On Tuesday, it was announced that the tournament ambassador will be Jaroslaw "pashaBiceps" Jazombkowski, a champion of one of the CS:GO Majors.

What are the chances of 9INE winning the championship?

If we assume that the remaining invited teams will be tier-1 level, then 9INE should not count on winning. Yes, the team surprised at the RMR event before Paris and showed promise at the Brazy Party, but they were quite disappointing at the Major, finishing near the bottom in the Legends stage.

In recent online tournaments of the CCT series, the Polish team did not shine either, losing to FORZEMOUZ NXT, and 500. This indicates that the current 9INE lineup does not look like one that is capable of becoming champions of prestigious championships at the moment.
