In a recent comment on reddit, 100 Thieves president Jacob Toft-Andersen hinted at the organization's possible return to Counter-Strike 2, calling it an ambition for the future. This comes after 100 Thieves was among the recipients of financial support from Esports World Cup.

100 Thieves has been making subtle hints about reviving the Counter-Strike 2 lineup, with CEO Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag previously acknowledging the possibility as early as June 2023.

Of particular significance is 100 Thieves' partnership with Esports World Cup, which provides significant financial support to organizations looking to enter the world stage. 100 Thieves, known for their previous Australian squad in CS:GO, which was in their organization from October 31, 2019 to October 18, 2020.

 
 

Former 100 Thieves coach Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunovic, who is currently coaching Team Bleed, fueled the discussion during a recent podcast appearance, hinting at the organization's behind-the-scenes interest in bringing back Counter-Strike.
