Excitement has reached a fever pitch with the upcoming MLBB Mid Season Cup 2025 (MSC 2025), poised to be the most global MLBB event in history. It now replaces the Southeast Asia Cup which was formerly known as SEA Cup, and serves as the second international in-season cross-major tournament, being an official segment of the Esports World Cup 2025 set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Participating teams will compete for unmatched glory alongside contributing Club Points for standing achievements in the Esports World Cup: it was recently announced that MSC features a whopping prize pool of $3 million dollars.

Tournament Schedule and Format

Wildcard Stage

Dates: July 10–13, 2025
Eight teams will be drawn into two groups (Group A & B). The format is Double Elimination with all matches played in Best-of-3 (Bo3).

• Top two teams from each group advance to the Wildcard Playoffs.
• The Wildcard Playoffs is a single elimination bracket with a Bo3 semifinal and a Bo5 Grand Final.
• The winner qualifies for the Group Stage.

Group Stage

Dates: July 23–27, 2025
Sixteen teams (15 direct invites + 1 Wildcard winner) will be randomly placed into two groups with region protection, preventing teams from the same region landing in the same group.

• Pool 2 teams are drawn first, followed by Pool 1.
• Format is Double Elimination with Bo3 matches.
• Top 4 teams from each group move on to the Knockout Stage.
• Bottom 4 teams from each group are eliminated.

Knockout Stage

Dates: July 30 – August 2, 2025
The final 8 teams will play in a Single Elimination bracket.

• Teams that go 2-0 in the group stage choose their 2-1 opponents.
• Pick order is determined by the fastest average game time.
• All matches are Bo5, except for the Grand Final, which is Bo7.

Prize Pool and Club Points

• 1st Place – $1,000,000 USD + 1,000 Club Points
• 2nd Place – $500,000 USD + 750 Club Points
• 3rd Place – $250,000 USD + 500 Club Points
• 4th Place – $150,000 USD + 300 Club Points
• 5th–8th – $100,000 USD + 200 Club Points

In total, 23 teams will receive part of the $3M prize pool.
