Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s latest update has brought yet another rework to Freya, making her the most revamped hero in the game’s history. This time, the changes are not just visual — her gameplay has been significantly altered, shifting her from a bulky crowd-control fighter into a more mobile DPS-oriented warrior.
What Changed
- Passive: Freya now stores up to six Sacred Orbs, which regenerate automatically outside of combat. Spending an orb boosts her next basic attack with 100% attack speed.
- First Skill: Throws a shield that hits enemies and returns, granting two Sacred Orbs and enhancing her second skill.
- Second Skill: Can now be spammed with no cooldown as long as orbs are available. When enhanced via the first skill, it leaps to the target and knocks them airborne.
- Ultimate: Now includes crowd control immunity during the jump and slows enemies on impact. It still boosts her attack range, damage, and lifesteal, but no longer provides the massive shield from her previous version.
Player Reactions
The community’s response to Freya’s rework has been sharply divided. Some fans believe the changes were completely unnecessary.
Just how many times are they going to revamp her? This is what, number 5? It’s like they can’t settle on a single design for her.Shad_tard
Others, like reddit_explorer1990, jokingly hinted at the main reason for another update: "Skins kaching."
Some players took a more pragmatic view. A_Normal_Gamer690 argued that Freya already had a “perfect kit” and performed well in matches, only needing balancing tweaks rather than a full overhaul. He compared her to Masha, who is genuinely underpowered and in need of a revamp but hasn’t received one yet.
Supporters of the changes highlight that the new mechanics, such as automatically regenerating orbs and the ability to spam her second skill, make the gameplay more aggressive and dynamic. The added CC immunity in her ultimate also opens up new tactical possibilities in fights.

The Freya rework has definitely made the hero stronger
Summing up all the changes and community feedback, it’s clear that the new Freya now has far more tools for confident combat. She’s become more mobile, more resistant to crowd control, and capable of responding quickly to threats thanks to her cooldown-free second skill. While some players miss her old “tankier” version, this rework opens up new tactical possibilities and fits an aggressive yet durable playstyle.
