At first, the latest update of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang appears to be a small change. However, in terms of actual gameplay it will greatly alter not only survivability of heroes but also laning strategy. Rather than granting the standard 12% spell-vamp effect, the emblem now offers 10% hybrid lifesteal. While this is statistically lower than the previous formula, it offers a much broader spectrum when dealing damage in terms of which skills may qualify for the hybrid lifesteal effect.
A noteworthy benefit of the change is that it allows all heroes with both skills and basic attacks to more often combine their skills and auto attacks to get additional lifesteal from the fighter emblem. As a result, it also adds additional versatility for fighters who utilize skills beyond those of traditional fighters.
What the Hidden Fighter Emblem Buff Really Does
The key difference between Spell Vamp and Hybrid Lifesteal lies in how healing is triggered. Spell Vamp only restores health from ability damage, whereas Hybrid Lifesteal works with both skills and basic attacks. This makes sustain more stable and predictable, especially during extended trades.

Because of this, heroes can stay in lane longer, retreat less often, and participate more actively in early skirmishes. The emblem is no longer narrowly specialized and now supports hybrid playstyles.
Why Fighters Benefit the Most
Fighters traditionally excel in prolonged fights where abilities and basic attacks are constantly mixed. These are exactly the conditions where Hybrid Lifesteal performs best. Heroes recover health faster during trades and feel more confident in extended team fights and enemy jungle invasions.
Heroes such as Thamuz, Julian, Chou, Alucard, Zilong, Masha, and Suyou gain the most value. Their gameplay revolves around constant pressure and frequent combat, and the new effect makes them even harder to force out of lane.

Impact on Certain Marksmen
Interestingly, the update may also affect certain marksmen. Since Hybrid Lifesteal works with abilities as well, marksmen who rely on skill-based poke gain additional lane sustain. This allows them to apply pressure for longer periods and return to base less frequently.

In specific matchups, heroes like Brody, Beatrix, Roger, and Popol & Kupa can benefit from this change. While it does not guarantee a meta shift, it clearly encourages experimentation with emblems and unconventional builds.
How the Chan ge Affects Game Tempo
Supporting mixed damage sources makes the laning phase more aggressive. Fighters can initiate trades more frequently, while some marksmen can apply early pressure more effectively. Overall, this impacts map control, early rotations, and skirmish frequency, making gameplay more dynamic.

Despite the modest numbers, the Fighter Emblem update has a meaningful effect on gameplay. Hybrid Lifesteal strengthens heroes designed for extended fights, improving their survivability and flexibility. Fighters gain a clear advantage, while new tactical options emerge for certain marksmen.
