Team Liquid concluded their run at the 2024 League of Legends World Championship, losing to FlyQuest and exiting the tournament. In an exclusive interview with Sheep Esports, Team Liquid player Eom "UmTi" Seong-hyeon discussed the issues within the team and the challenges faced this year.

Struggle for Trust Within the Team

UmTi noted that despite strong performances in the LCS and at the MSI, the team got stuck at certain stages, negatively impacting the trust between players. This discord affected individual performances and led to an overall decline. When Team Liquid tried to make a comeback, it was already too late.

According to UmTi, despite successful training sessions before the tournament, he couldn't showcase his full abilities during the games. He acknowledges that he could have played better and regrets not being able to support his team at crucial moments.

Despite having seven years of playing experience, he found it difficult to balance his professional career with emotional stability. UmTi expressed gratitude to coach Spawn, who helped him avoid falling into despair.
