Riot Games introduced a 50 percent discount on all League of Legends heroes in Blue Essence (BE). This is in a response to community criticism of prior changes which made it tougher for players to receive new heroes. The developers have acknowledged making it too hard and time-consuming for players to receive new heroes in the new update, and have guaranteed a boost in reward rates in BE and experience.

The changes will take effect from the beginning of the second act, which will begin on March 1, 2025. In addition, Riot will bring back the popular Hex Chests, which allow you to get skins, and increase the amount of BE available through the Battle Pass.

These steps are aimed at facilitating access to new champions and improving the game experience for all players.
