Razork on Fnatic's Defeat and Humanoid's Departure: "Something Needed to Change. They Could've Kicked Me Too – It Was the Club's Decision"

After a tense series against Movistar KOI, which ended in a 2:3 defeat, Fnatic dropped to the lower bracket of the LEC Summer 2025 playoffs. In an exclusive interview with Sheep Esports, jungler Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz discussed the reasons behind mid laner Humanoid's departure, the team's reaction to fan criticism, and their mindset for upcoming matches.

On the Defeat to KOI and the Team's Current Form

Razork admitted that the team seemed less confident than in practice:

We played too slowly. In scrims, we're much more aggressive, but today we just couldn't show it. Maybe the pressure got to us.

Nonetheless, he noted that compared to the start of the season, Fnatic has become more cohesive:

The atmosphere and training have improved, and we've started to trust each other more.

On Replacing Humanoid and Adapting with Poby

According to Razork, the decision to part ways with Humanoid was made by the club:

I love him, but I felt we hit a dead end. We weren't burned out, just couldn't progress further. Something needed to change, and Fnatic decided to replace the mid laner. But they could have kicked me too — it was their decision.

Razork spoke positively about the team's newcomer Poby, highlighting his hard work and positive attitude:

He adapted very quickly, and we immediately tried to be on the same wavelength, and I enjoy playing with him.

On Fan Criticism

The jungler acknowledged that early in his career, negativity greatly affected his confidence, but over time he learned to ignore it:

If you play well, you're idolized; if you play poorly, you're considered the worst player. True fans support you even after losses, and I appreciate that.

Looking Ahead to the Match Against GIANTX and Chances at Worlds

In the next match, Fnatic will face GIANTX in the lower bracket, competing for a chance to reach the finals in Madrid. Razork described the opponent as a "very strong team" and specifically mentioned the jungler Jun:

It will be a tough series, but I believe in the team and myself. I think we will win.

According to him, if they make it to Madrid, Fnatic has the potential to fight for a spot at Worlds:

In the top 5 of the league, any team can beat any other. We have the potential to make the entire run from the bottom.
