The Spring Split of the LEC Spring 2025 became the most-watched in the last three years, though the final fell short of previous ones in peak online viewership. Movistar KOI concluded their third season in the league with a historic triumph: for the first time, the team became LEC champions by defeating G2 Esports in the finals with a score of 3:1. This achievement marked a significant moment for the organization.
KOI participated in four of the five most popular matches of the split. The grand final against G2 attracted the most viewers, peaking at 509,010. This was followed by the lower bracket final against Karmine Corp (502,047) and their first playoff encounter (490,408). Also making the top list was the match between G2 and Karmine Corp in the regular season (416,365) and another match between G2 and KOI (411,311). The top three — KOI, G2, and Karmine Corp — consistently held the audience's attention throughout the season.
Although the peak viewership was the lowest for a final since Summer 2024, the total watch time amounted to 32.6 million hours — the fifth-highest in league history and the best in three years. The average audience was 228,120 viewers, with a total broadcast time of nearly 143 hours.
KOI's victory symbolizes a generational shift in the league. Alongside G2, they will represent the EMEA region at the MSI in Vancouver (starting June 27) and the Esports World Cup 2025 in July.
