FlyQuest player Fahad "Massu" Abdulmalek shared his thoughts ahead of his first match at MSI 2025, which is taking place in Canada. The tournament is particularly meaningful to him, as it marks the first time he will compete internationally in his home country — with friends and family watching from the stands.
This is interesting because few professional players get the chance to perform on home soil at such a prestigious event. Massu's reflections highlight how personal and emotionally charged this opportunity is for him.
MSI 2025 is hosted in Canada, making it a unique milestone for Massu. Representing FlyQuest and the LTA North region, he's preparing for his international debut. Although the match is still ahead, the atmosphere and support around him have already made a strong impact.
Speaking before his debut, Massu emphasized how proud he is to represent his region in Canada:
"It feels really good to represent LTA in Canada, especially because it's my home country."
He explained that many of his close friends and family members will be present:
"A lot of my family lives here, and many of my friends that I went to school with or have known since I was younger."
Having them nearby adds an extra layer of motivation:
"It really makes me want to give them a good performance so they have a memorable experience."
At the same time, he admitted feeling the emotional pressure:
"I can’t help but feel the pressure of wanting to do well in front of my family, just so I can make them proud."
In a heartfelt message, Massu thanked his loved ones for their support:
"I hope you see that the support and effort you gave me has brought something back to you. I want to make you proud."
FlyQuest qualified for MSI 2025 after a strong showing in the LTA North 2025 Split 2. Massu has been a starting player for the team since 2023, maintaining his role across multiple splits and steadily growing in impact. The upcoming match against Anyone's Legend will be a defining moment — especially with the home crowd behind him.
The Mid-Season Invitational 2025 takes place from June 27 to July 12 in Canada, with a prize pool of $2,000,000. You can follow the news, schedule, and results of the tournament through this link.
