FlyQuest player Kacper "Inspired" Sloma shared in an interview before the Movistar KOI vs CTBC Flying Oyster match at the Mid-Season Invitational 2025 why he supported his former teammate Jojopyun’s decision to move to Europe and how it helped him become a key player for his new team.
This story intrigues League of Legends fans because, for the first time on an international stage, former Cloud9 teammates will face each other on opposite sides — with different experiences and new ambitions
From Cloud9 to Movistar KOI
Ahead of the European split, Jojopyun left North America to sign with Movistar KOI, seeking to grow in a tougher region. For Inspired, this match carries extra weight — he was one of those who encouraged JoJo to make this move.
"It Was the Best Decision" — Inspired’s Take
In his interview, Inspired recalled how he had advised JoJo to take the leap into the European scene:
I did tell him that it's a good idea to go to Europe. At the beginning I didn't really like the year in Cloud9, but we were not sure how many offers he was going to get. The moment he got the offers from EU, I told him that he should go there instantly because that's way better to improve in EU than in NA.
Inspired noted that Europe gave Jojopyun exactly what he needed to grow faster:
I think that's what happened. I think he did learn a lot and it seems like his learning phase just improved and was already strong before.
He also shared his thoughts on scrimming against Movistar KOI and how crucial JoJo is for his team:
He seems like a character player on his team. When we scrimmed against them it seemed like he was the difference maker. Whenever they won he had a good game, and when he had a bad game his teammates were not really carrying that much. So I think the team relies on him a lot.

"He Proved Me Wrong"
In closing, Inspired admitted that JoJo has already exceeded his expectations:
Before the split ended I was telling him that there is no way he makes MSI and he proved me wrong. So good job to him.
Jojopyun switched from Cloud9 to Movistar KOI ahead of the European split. For Inspired, this match will be a special test as he faces his former teammate on a major international stage.
The Mid-Season Invitational 2025 will run from June 27 to July 12 in Canada with a prize pool of $2,000,000. You can follow the news, schedule, and results of the tournament through this link.
