Renowned coach Álvaro "Xaio" Hernández Carretero returns to his homeland and joins the Ramboot Club team for the upcoming LVP season. Success in the 2nd Division and Path to Return
Throughout his career, Xaio has achieved multiple successes in the 2nd Division of Spain, winning the LVP 2nd Division three times with Case Esports, a team founded by footballer Casemiro. With Xaio as the head coach, Case Esports secured 3rd place in the summer split, and in 2023, they won both splits and finally secured promotion to the main division of LVP. However, when the team was led by a new coach, André "Guilhoto" Pereira Guilhoto, Xaio left the project and continued his career in Greece.
A New Chapter with Ramboot Club
Now, having reached a verbal agreement with Ramboot, Xaio is ready to return to the Spanish scene. Ramboot, who entered the LVP in 2024, showed mixed results in the spring split, finishing 7th, but managed to reach 3rd place in the summer split, which allowed the team to qualify for the EMEA Masters for the first time. Despite being eliminated at the Swiss Stage, this achievement marked an important milestone for the club.
Ahead lies an ambitious season for Xaio with a new team aiming to strengthen their position in Spain’s top division.
