Another day of the Ascend stage at the LPL Split 2 2025 kicked off with two Bo3 series. Anyone’s Legend defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas with a score of 2:1, while Team WE confidently started against ThunderTalk Gaming, winning the first map.

In the first series, Anyone’s Legend and Ninjas in Pyjamas delivered a tense showdown. On the first map, Lee "Tarzan" Seung-yong played a key role, setting the pace of the game and securing an advantage for his team. NiP responded with a win on the second map, but in the decisive third match, Lee "Flandre" Xuan-Rong shone with 33.4k damage, allowing the team to confidently close the series.

In the second match of the day, Team WE secured a convincing victory over ThunderTalk Gaming with a score of 2:0, demonstrating complete dominance on both maps. The team confidently took the initiative from the first minutes and left no chance for a comeback. The MVP of the match was Kim "Taeyoon" Tae-yoon, who dealt massive damage and actively participated in most key battles.

Tomorrow, May 16, two new series will take place in the tournament: FunPlus Phoenix will face JD Gaming, and Invictus Gaming will meet Ninjas in Pyjamas.
