Riot Games will add a new information window to the champion selection menu in League of Legends after the June 25 update. Players will be able to view character abilities directly during picks. This innovation will simplify team composition orientation during drafts.

How the Update Will Work

Hovering over a champion will bring up a pop-up menu with descriptions of all abilities. After locking in a choice, players can review the full information on abilities, allowing for a better assessment of ally and opponent roles. This feature will be particularly helpful for new players who are not yet familiar with all the characters.

The change does not affect game mechanics but merely adds visual information during the draft. The functionality is already available on the PBE server and will be implemented on the main servers soon.
