North American organization 100 Thieves have today announced their current ADC Frank "Tomo" Lam will be departing the organization ahead of the 2025 LTA North season. The ADC came in half way through the LCS 2024 Summer Split and helped 100T secure a spot at the World Championship.
After just half a split and a World Championship appearance under his belt, Tomo will be leaving 100 Thieves and must now find a new team ahead of the 2025 LTA season. LTA is the new Americas region which saw the merging of the LCS, the CBLoL, and the LLA. 100 Thieves are part of the LTA North, which is the North American portion of the newly formed region.
Gone too soon?
The news may come as a shock to some 100 Thieves fans considering the recent news about their organization. 100 Thieves for the 2025 season will be a provisional guest, meaning their future is unclear, with many wondering about the financial state of the organization moving into the new season.
Tomo was able to make the most of the opportunity given to him on 100 Thieves after subbing in for Brandon "Meech" Choi during the Summer Split. 100 Thieves improved drastically, so much so they were able to take down Cloud9 and secure the last remaining spot at the 2024 World Championship. One 100 Thieves player in particular, Rayan "Sniper" Shoura took to X, formerly Twitter, begging for an LTA org to pick him up.
@DignitasLoL @Disguised pick him up pls this guy carried our summer split to worlds when it looked doomed. It will be the best decision you will make if you feel like winning ofc.

It'll be interesting to see if Tomo is able to land on a new tier one team ahead of the 2025 season. With many teams locking up their rosters, there aren't many options left for Tomo, meaning he may have to join an NACL team and fight his way back into the league.
