The craftmetal is a rare hyperfixed resource within Silksong intended for unlocking Tools via vendors such as the Forge Daughter or various workbenches. Given its quantity is limited within the game, it’s good to know the rest of its locations so as to not lose out on other collectibles.

Known Locations
Region | How to Find |
1. Moss Grotto (Bone Bottom shop) | Pebb sells one piece of Craftmetal for 60 Rosaries in Bone Bottom which is in Moss Grotto. This is one of the most reliable early sources. |
2. The Marrow | Hidden in a wall with explosive patches, an explosive wall puzzle. In the upper-right portion of The Marrow, often after some platforming. You’ll need to blow up certain walls. |
3. Deep Docks | Behind a locked gate or via a hidden passage from Far Fields. There’s a chest containing Craftmetal. Some require a Simple Key depending on the path. |
4. Blasted Steps | A narrow, secret passage in the upper-right part of Blasted Steps. The Craftmetal is protruding from the wall in a hidden area. |
5. Underworks | Below the Clawline area. Avoid environmental hazards: lava, bugs, to reach the room. |
6. Putrified Ducts | Found in the far right part of the area, past clear water sections. Cling Grip ability helps reach it. |
7. Wisp Thicket | On top of a wheelbarrow in the top room. Use downward attacks and the Clawline to reach upwards areas. |

How to Use Craftmetal
Craftmetal serves mainly to forge Tools, which are Silksong’s version of equipment upgrades. Unlike charms or consumables, Tools are permanent additions to Hornet’s arsenal, which now includes combat enhancers, traversal aids, etc. Craftmetal can be brought to NPC vendors like the Forge Daughter or specific workbenches scattered throughout Pharloom. Each Tool requires a certain number of Craftmetal pieces along with some Rosaries or other materials. Since Craftmetal is not farmable (limited in number), deciding which Tool to unlock first is critical. For the early game, movement Tools, like Clawline or exploration upgrades, are far more useful since they unlock hidden areas with even more Craftmetal.

Craftmetal is one of the most important resources in Hollow Knight: Silksong as it unlocks Hornet's most powerful Tools. Each piece is restricted in number, so exploration and spending must be done wisely. If you are vigilant about seeking hidden passages, vendors, and areas you can return to with new traversal abilities, you will eventually collect every Craftmetal in Pharloom. Accumulating all of them will not only enhance Hornet's toolkit, but will also allow access to deeper challenges and secrets that enhance the Silksong experience.
