Valve may soon release a major update for Dota 2

Valve is utilizing test servers, which could indicate a new update for Dota 2—patch 7.38. This might also suggest an addition related to the Chinese New Year treasures. The information became known through an update on the developers' GitHub page.

The test server was updated 6 times in one day, which could point to a new patch in Dota 2. However, when the patch will be released is unknown. The test changes started on January 28, and typically, a new patch is released a few days after such changes are made. Some people expect patch 7.38 for Dota 2 to be released around January 29-30.

It's also possible that the developers are simply preparing for the update for the Chinese New Year. There is also information about the possible introduction of a new Arcana, which might be released in Dota 2 in the future.

Rumors about the return of Phantom Advent Arcana on Spectre 

Valve could soon organize a new event dedicated to the Chinese New Year, which will take place on February 6-7. One of the significant features of this event might be treasures with the Phantom Advent Arcana on Spectre. Dota 2 players continue to actively discuss the possible return of Phantom Advent Arcana, which has been unavailable since the end of the 2021 Battle Pass. At that time, reaching the 330th level was required to obtain it, but many players failed to reach this mark, causing a wave of discontent in the community.
