The offlaner and captain of Team Falcons, Wu "Sneyking" Jingjun, gave an extensive interview ahead of the BLAST Slam III. He shared his thoughts on the current form of the team, reasons for their setbacks, the internal atmosphere, and his approach to leadership.
According to the player, the main issue for Falcons has been the lack of proper practice:
My biggest frustration this year is the lack of proper training. Without consistent practice, there's no team chemistry, no progress. And due to factors beyond our control, we constantly miss out on bootcamps and preparation time.Wu "Sneyking" Jingjun
Sneyking noted that the team faced difficulties with communication and drafts. Injuries and visa issues also played a role:
Skiter had a repeat surgery on his hand, there were constant relocations and visa issues. All this significantly reduced our training time. We want to work more, but we simply can't.Wu "Sneyking" Jingjun
Regarding the team's internal state, the captain admitted that the initial enthusiasm has faded over time:
In the beginning, everything was fun—we just enjoyed playing. Now that feeling is lost. But we want to get it back. It's critical.Wu "Sneyking" Jingjun
After returning to the captaincy, Sneyking started introducing more structure:
We became too individualistic. I'm trying to bring back the team spirit—eating breakfast together, going for walks, discussing, staying united. These are small things, but they are what make a team great.Wu "Sneyking" Jingjun
Sneyking hopes that Team Falcons can win at least one tournament before Riyadh Masters and The International:
A victory will remind us that we are capable of more. It will boost our confidence and create momentum before the major events.Wu "Sneyking" Jingjun
The next match for Team Falcons will be in the BLAST Slam III. The tournament, with a prize pool of $1,000,000, starts on May 6. You can follow the schedule and results through this link.
