With the release of patch 7.39d in Dota 2, the temporary event "Quartero Curiosities" has begun. During the event, players can earn cosmetic items for free by leveling up in the event. The event will run until November 5.

The event includes one hundred levels. Each level is unlocked with 1,000 experience points, which are earned from matches: a win in regular mode gives 650 points, in Turbo — 425 points, a loss in a regular match — 250 points, and in Turbo — 175 points.

Main Rewards of the Event

For each level, a player receives a reward. Among the main prizes are three complete sets: for Witch Doctor, Vengeful Spirit, and Legion Commander (with two styles available for the latter). 

Cosmetic Effects in "Quartero Curiosities"

Besides hero sets, the event features 11 unique effects. They change the visual appearance of teleportation, level-up animations, and the look of some items. The effects unlock as players progress through the event levels and become available for use immediately upon acquisition.

Quartero Rarities

"Quartero Rarities" hold a special place — six random rewards given at the 5th, 20th, 40th, 60th, 80th, and 100th levels. Inside could be any previously released set, including items of Immortal and Arcana rarity.

Simultaneously with the launch of the "Quartero Curiosities" event, patch 7.39d was released in Dota 2. In the update, developers adjusted the balance of several heroes and items. A detailed description of the patch can be found at this link.
