The CS2 professional scene has once again found itself at the center of controversy following the reshuffles in Team Spirit — this time due to a remote clash between Ivan “zweih” Gogin and Drin “makazze” Shaqiri. The conflict, which began with harsh statements by one of the players on a livestream, quickly escalated into a large-scale discussion about the players’ past and karma that eventually caught up with one of the story’s protagonists.
How it all began
The first public jabs were heard back in the summer of 2025, when zweih, during one of StroGo’s livestreams, stated that makazze would be kicked from NAVI within half a year. At the time, the statement was not accompanied by details, but it quickly spread throughout the community and caused a wave of skepticism — many fans perceived zweih’s words as an attempt to discredit another player.

At that moment, no new evidence or official decisions regarding makazze appeared. However, the topic resurfaced rapidly on social media after zweih himself ended up without a team.
Return to the topic in winter
A new stage of the conflict occurred in the winter of 2025, when zweih was kicked from Team Spirit and the community reminded him of his words about makazze, where he had predicted makazze’s departure from NAVI, only for him to end up without a team himself. Ivan published a detailed explanation of his position. He emphasized that his words did not concern makazze’s individual or mechanical level.
According to zweih, it was exclusively about past events:
When I spoke about makazze, I didn’t mean his skill. I don’t argue with the fact that he can be better than me. I was talking only about his past, when he was involved in radar hacking. This is confirmed information.Ivan “zweih” Gogin
The player added that for him it does not matter whether the cheat was used individually or as part of a team, since such actions, in his opinion, ruined other people’s careers and affected match results. At the same time, zweih admitted that he may have formulated his thoughts incorrectly in the past.

Community reaction
The CS2 community became divided. Some fans supported zweih, noting that the topic of cheating remains painful for the scene and should not be kept silent. Others emphasized that without new evidence, such statements only damage a player’s reputation.
Cheaters must be exposed and said publicly by name! Don't feel sorry or anything of what you did! There were many times "rumours" about this guy back then, so you did nothing new, and fuck the soft fucks in the scene, nobody likes people that be transparent and real in this game.ToH1o
You spoke too early and got clapped. That is how life works, just accept it and stop ruining your reputation further. X off, full grind until you find a new team and bounce back. You are not doing anything by responding and doubling down is probably the worst thing you can do nowNiKoGlazerV2
Well-known analysts also commented on the situation. In particular, Duncan “Thorin” Shields noted that zweih won two tournaments he would never have won without Spirit and received in-game stickers.

Player statistics
When comparing individual statistics over the past six months, makazze looked more consistent: higher average ratings, better effectiveness in key rounds, and stronger values in key metrics such as kills, assists, damage, and more.
