As part of the For Victory! quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you can undertake several side tasks offered by local characters and guests during the feast. One of these quests is a side mission from Sir Herman Littlehead, who wants to settle scores with Florian, who frequently mocks him.
Herman wants to retaliate in kind, but with your help. If you agree to this adventure, you'll have to steal Florian's ring and give it to the best friend of the lady who originally gifted Florian this ring as a joke.
Where to find Florian's ring
NOTE: you will need a lockpick, so make sure to have one before you go searching for the ring.
After speaking with Herman, turn around and exit through the green doors onto the balconies, keeping to the right and head to the doors ahead. Pass through the lounge with the fireplace straight through the doors opposite and ascend the wooden stairs two floors up, walk straight, and then onto the stone stairs (which pass by the scribe's room).
Pass through the doors to the attic and again up the stairs. Pass through the red doors, immediately to the left, and up the stairs two floors higher. After the last flight of stairs, turn into the doors on the right. This is the room we need. However, be cautious, as a guard may be inside.
In this room, by the window wall, there will be a chest, and inside is the ring you need. A lockpick will be required to unlock the chest. After taking the ring, return to Herman via the same path you came and hand over the ring.
What to do next?
At this point, you can either agree to the joke or refuse. If you decide to participate, Herman will ask you to deliver the ring to Adleta. Henry will tell her that he has a small gift for her.
If you decline the prank, it will not affect your reputation, neither with Herman nor anyone else. He will simply thank you for the ring and reward you with Weak Saviour Schnapps and 100 groschen.
If you decide to proceed, Adleta will ask who the gift is from, and you'll be offered three response options:
- Herman Littlehead.
- A shy friend.
- From me.
Choosing the first option, Henry will say it's a token of affection from a mysterious admirer. Adleta will demand a name, and Florian will then intervene, accusing Herman. This will lead to a loss of reputation, and Florian will challenge you to a duel. You can either accept the challenge and beat him, or use your speech skills to avoid the confrontation. If you decide to fight, Florian will propose stepping outside to settle things there. Simply defeat him to complete the task.
If you choose the second option, Adleta will recognize the ring and begin questioning Florian, accusing him of betrayal. This is the exact effect Herman was hoping for, and the woman will start scolding him.
The third option will provoke a harsh reaction from Florian. He'll immediately start insulting Henry, calling him a peasant. Moreover, the woman next to him will recognize the ring, and your lie will be uncovered. This again will lead to a loss of reputation, and Florian will once more challenge you to a duel, repeating the consequences of the first option.
After completing the prank, return to Herman. He will greatly enjoy everything that has happened and will reward you with Weak Saviour Schnapps, the book Strength of the Knight 3, and additional money.
